Like in the previous slide, the Tarheels lost a key player from last year but still return much of their talent. Star safety Myles Dorn is off the to the NFL but sophomore Don Chapman played well despite only starting four games last season.

RS senior Myles Wolfolk, who led the team with three interceptions last season, will finally get his chance to shine at strong safety after he suffered an upper-body injury that ended his season last November.

Speaking of injured safeties, Auburn fans will likely get the chance to see former Tiger Cam’Ron Kelly in this game. A four-star athlete in the class of 2019, Kelly only spent a few months on the Plains before transferring to UNC in March of 2019.

Kelly was granted immediate eligibility and played in the first five games of the season last year before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

At cornerback, the Tarheels have a player that rivals Auburn’s Smoke Monday for best name in college football. Sophomore Storm Duck started nine games last season as a true freshman and possesses great size at the CB position.

Lastly, 6-foot-3 senior D.J. Ford can play either defensive back position and recorded 54 tackles, 2.5 TFLs and one INT last season.
