The hype train for Big Kat Bryant has definitely arrived and you better hop on before it departs. Bryant was the Tigers’ starter at the Buck position last season where he recorded 16 tackles, two TFLs, 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery.
Overshadowed by the likes of Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson, Bryant has the opportunity to be the featured guy of the Tigers’ D-line next season. At 6-foot-5 and 247 pounds, Bryant has the size to be a traditional pass rusher while also being used as more of an outside linebacker in some situations.
The revamping of Auburn’s defensive line is perhaps the most important development for the upcoming season and after waiting for three years, the rising senior will finally get his chance to shine in the spotlight.
It’s impossible to expect him to be the next Brown or Davidson but Bryant certainly can be a star for the Tigers next season.
