The Auburn Tigers notched a narrow win against Ole Miss in 2019. How will the program fare in 2020?

Auburn will likely be able to easily handle FCS Alcorn State in week one and if they can come out victorious in their neutral-site matchup against North Carolina, the Tigers will enter conference play 2-0.

In 2018 Auburn traveled to Oxford and was able to handle Ole Miss fairly easily but last season, Auburn came out sluggish at home and were lucky to come out with a win.

2020 marks a new beginning for the Rebels as it is the first year under former Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin as he looks to revitalize a team that won just four games last season

Kiffin had previous stops in the SEC as the head coach at Tennessee and the offensive coordinator at Alabama with mixed results overall. However, Kiffin was able to turn around the FAU program with two 11-win seasons in three years after the team had won nine combined games in the three seasons prior to his arrival.

It may not be right away but Kiffin should be able to make the Rebels competitive again and once again, the team has enough talent to give Auburn a tough fight — especially with the home crowd behind them.

Let’s take a look at how Ole Miss stacks up at every position group and which groups could give the Tigers the most trouble and which they can capitalize on.
