The Tigers floor general for three seasons, the undersized Harper ended his collegiate career as one of the best point guards in Auburn history. In Harper’s junior season at Auburn, the 5-foot-10 guard averaged 15.3 points and 5.8 assists per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 37.0 percent from deep.
Despite his strong play for the Tigers, Harper’s lack of NBA size likely led to him going undrafted in 2019. However, Harper signed a two-way deal with the Phoenix Suns after the draft.
As a two-way player, Harper spent most of the season with the Northern Arizona Suns of the NBA G-League where he was consistently one of the team’s top players averaging a team-high 20.8 points and 5.7 assists per game.
Harper was also called up to the Suns main roster a few times throughout the season where he appeared in three games playing in 2.7 minutes a contest where he scored two total points on 1-4 shooting.
However, after the NBA season was postponed earlier in the year, the Suns announced that they would waive the former Auburn guard stating that since the G-League season was over, waiving Harper would allow him to explore other opportunities.
Harper has yet to announce any other sort of plans or signing.
