Auburn football: Taking a look at the Tigers’ top 2021 draft prospects
Anthony Schwartz has the speed to be a surefire first-round draft pick in 2021 and using that speed, it’s likely that he’ll see his draft stock soar whenever he gets a chance to show off his skills at the NFL Combine.
However, Schwartz isn’t quite at that level just yet. Injuries held the rising junior back from what could’ve been a breakout 2019 season but if he can stay healthy, 2020 can be that year.
Arguably the fastest man in all of college football, scouts will absolutely drool over 6-foot, 179-pound wideout. With elite track-level speed, look for Schwartz to challenge the 40-yard-dash record at the combine.
A big 2019 season could push the speedster into first-round consideration for sure but as of now, Schwartz is likely a second to fourth-round pick. However, Schwartz is the kind of player that you just find ways to get him the ball and let him go to work.
He tallied 558 total yards and three touchdowns on 52 touches (as both a receiver and rusher) last season but a healthy 2020 season could see those numbers be easily surpassed.
