Auburn has signed 17 five-star recruits since 2000. Some have panned out. Some did not.

For high school football recruits, getting that five-star ranking is the ultimate sign of being an elite prospect. Every year, there are only a select few five-star recruits and every team in the country tries to bring them to their school.

While Auburn has recruited well throughout their history, it’s not every year that they can bring in one of these five-star prospects.

And even when they do, not every five-star works out as planned. Some end up struggling at the next level while others become the star players they were expected to be out of high school.

I will be ranking every five-star recruit that Auburn has signed in their history. However, with every major recruiting site having different rankings for each recruit, I will be using the 247Sports Composite rankings as that ranking compiles rankings from multiple websites.

I will also only be going back to the year 2000 as recruiting rankings prior to the 21st century are largely unavailable.
