While fellow five-star Bo Nix may have gotten more attention, linebacker Owen Pappoe was actually the highest-rated recruit in Auburn’s 2019 recruiting class. And rightfully so.

Pappoe was an absolute monster at Grayson high school in Loganville, Georgia and an absolute freak athlete at the linebacker position.

Obviously, Pappoe has the chance to be much higher on the list by the time his Auburn career is over but despite playing just one season, Pappoe has already made a major impact.

It’s not very often that a true freshman starts for a program like Auburn but that’s exactly what Pappoe did. The 6-foot-1, 219-pound LB recorded 49 tackles, three TFLs, two sacks and one forced fumble.

When it’s all said and done, Pappoe could be one of the best linebackers in program history and if his freshman season is any indication, the future is bright.
