Alongside Roc Thomas, linebacker Tre Williams was the second five-star in Auburn’s 2014 class. A 6-foot-3, 237-pound prospect out of St Paul’s Episcopal in Mobile, Williams was rated as the nation’s second-best inside linebacker and the fourth-ranked player in the state of Alabama.

After being a rotational linebacker in his first two seasons Williams would become the main starter as a junior and would play well. As a junior, Williams recorded a career-high 67 tackles to go along with 3.5 TFLs and one sack.

Williams was a team captain as a senior and was named to the All-SEC Second Team. The former five-star linebacker was given a shot in the NFL but missed his entire first season due to injury. During that time, he worked with the Auburn football program in the recruiting office.

Williams was released by the Detroit Lions in May of 2019 and most recently, the former Tiger joined the staff of Alabama Class 7A state champs Thompson high school as a linebackers coach.
