If you’ve watched Auburn in the last few seasons then you probably know who Derrick Brown is. The gem of the Tigers’ 2016 recruiting class, Brown was listed as the ninth-best prospect in the country and the top overall player in the state of Georgia.

Brown came to The Plains and played every game as a freshman and was the team’s full-time starter at defensive tackle by his sophomore year. Brown got most of his attention on a national scale this past season and deservedly so but the 6-foot-5, 330-pound DT had one of the best four-year careers in Auburn history.

An athletic freak for his size with an unstoppable motor, Brown recorded at least 48 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss in each of his final three seasons at Auburn. His career 33 TFLs is one of the best marks in program history.

After being named a unanimous All-American last season, Brown was selected seventh overall by the Carolina Panthers and is expected to be a game-changing talent at the next level.
