The top player in the state of Alabama for the class of 2002 and the No. 4 ranked wide receiver in the country, Ben Obomanu was a massive get for Tommy Tuberville and his staff at Auburn.

Obomanu was expected to be the perfect weapon for fellow five-star Jason Campbell. And while Obomanu didn’t quite live up to those expectations while on The Plains, he did enjoy a solid four-year career.

In four years, the 6-foot-1 wideout racked up 97 catches for 1,313 yards and 18 touchdowns. Obomanu’s best season came during Auburn’s undefeated 2004 season when he grabbed 25 balls for 359 yards and seven TDs.

Although he was never a star at Auburn, Obomanu would hear his name called in the last round of the ’06 draft and even had a pretty solid six-year NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks.
