The biggest linebacker recruit the Tigers have ever gotten, Tray Blackmon dominated at LaGrange high school in Georgia and was the nation’s No. 11 player in the class of 2005 and was the top prospect in the state and at his position.

Injuries and off-the-field issues kept Blackmon from reaching his true potential but he did enjoy three solid seasons at Auburn. After redshirting as a true freshman, Blackmon’s career got off to a great start.

Despite only playing in six games due to a suspension and collarbone injury, the undersized outside linebacker notched 18 total tackles and 2.5 TFLs. This was enough for Blackmon to be named a Second Team Freshman All-American by Sporting News.

Blackmon would only play 15 total games over the next two seasons and ended his Auburn career with 84 tackles, five TFLs, 2.5 sacks and one interception.

After Auburn, Blackmon had brief stints with the CFL and the National Indoor Football League.
