Auburn football: The 5 best three-star recruits of the Gus Malzahn era
For whatever reason, Jeremiah Dinson was heavily underrated out of American high school in Miami. But, at the same time, Dinson had received offers from programs like Florida, Kentucky, Wisconsin and South Carolina so it was clear that teams realized he could become the consistent, solid player he would eventually become for the Tigers.
Still, Dinson wasn’t even a top 500 recruit in the country. In fact, he wasn’t even in the top 1000. The raw but athletic defensive back was ranked as the class of 2015’s No. 1,228 recruit and wasn’t even in the top 100 at his position.
Dinson started his Auburn career but eventually moved to free safety as a RS sophomore and held that position until he graduated this past season. In his four-year Auburn career, Dinson totaled over 200 tackles (214) to go along with 11 TFLs, eight passes defended, four sacks and four interceptions.
Dinson was even named SEC Defensive Player of the Week in Auburn’s week one victory over Oregon in 2019 and after going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Dinson signed with the Detroit Lions as an UDFA.
