After Auburn’s BYE week, the Tigers will travel to Davis Wade Stadium to face off against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. And yes, the team did just hire Mike Leach and his pass-happy offense to be the head coach but Kylin Hill is arguably the best running back in the SEC and he deserves to be on this list.

A 5-foot-11, 215-pound back out of Columbus, Mississippi, Hill broke out in a big way in 2019. After the graduation of Aeris Williams, Hill took over the lead role and it was a role he absolutely shined in.

Hill carried the ball 242 times for 1,350 yards (5.6 yards per carry) and 10 touchdowns. Hill also caught 18 balls for 180 yards and a TD. For his efforts, Hill was named a First-Team All-SEC selection by the Associated Press.

Hill is the SEC’s leading returning rusher and although Leach’s love for the passing game may limit Hill’s potential in 2020, Leach would be stupid to not use the talent at his disposal.

He has speed, elusiveness and power and genuinely has the whole package. Look for Hill to be extremely effective as a senior regardless of scheme.
