The third quarterback on this list from Auburn’s 3-9 season, Jonathan Wallace may have been the most successful of the trio but the bar was still incredibly low. After struggling with Frazier and Moseley throughout the season and sitting at 1-7 on the year, the Tigers turned to the true freshman from Phenix City.
Considering the rest of the season, Wallace actually played pretty well in the four starts he had to close out the year. The 6-foot-2 QB led Auburn to a 2-2 record and completed 57.5 percent of his passes for 720 yards, four TDs and four interceptions on the year. Wallace also added 152 yards on the ground.
After the arrival of Nick Marshall the following season, Wallace understandably became an afterthought in the Auburn offense and moved to wide receiver as a senior in 2015. Still, Wallace was named a team captain during his time at Auburn and served as a grad assistant for the Tigers after his playing career.
Wallace recently landed a job as the special teams coordinator and running backs coach at Kansas earlier in the year.
