Starter: Reese Dismukes

Backup: Ben Tamburello

Auburn has had plenty of great centers throughout the years. There were several guys who could’ve started at this position and it may be a bit of recency bias but I’m taking Reese Dismukes.

A four-year starter for the Tigers, Dismukes started all 50 collegiate games he played in. After Auburn put up a monster rushing season in 2014, Dismukes was awarded with the Rimington Trophy which is given every year to the nation’s top center.

Behind Dismukes on the depth chart is 1986 All-American Ben Tamburello. Like Dismukes, Tamburello was a four-year starter for the Tigers and like Dismukes, led the way for some pretty great Auburn rushing attacks.

Tamburello would then go on to a be a third-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1987 where he played five seasons starting 11 games.
