Owen Pappoe: From No. 10 last season to No. 0 this season

Auburn’s sophomore linebacker will be the first player in Auburn history to wear No. 0 as 2020 will be the first season that the NCAA has allowed it to be worn. Previously, Pappoe shared a number with quarterback Bo Nix.

Anthony Schwartz: From No. 5 last season to No. 1 this season

Arguably the fastest player in all of college football, Schwartz has made the switch to No. 1 after playing with No. 5 for the past two seasons. Schwartz now shares a number with senior DE Big Kat Bryant.

Zakoby McClain: From No. 35 last season to No. 9 this season.

McClain made a name for himself in last year’s Iron Bowl with a 100-yard pick-six. The junior linebacker ranked fourth on the team last season with 55 total tackles and will now share a number with freshman wide receiver Ze’Vian Capers.

T.D. Moultry: From No. 55 last season to No. 99 this season

A former top-100 recruit, the senior D-lineman was listed second on the depth chart at the Buck position last season. In 2019, No. 99 was used on the offensive side of the ball by fullback Spencer Nigh who is now with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jamien Sherwood: From No. 9 last season to No. 20 this season

Sherwood has made an impact for Auburn since his freshman season. However, now the junior safety has a chance to step in as a starter. Sherwood’s No. 9 is now being used by Zakoby McClain and No. 20 has become available after the graduation of fellow safety Jeremiah Dinson from last season.

Jaren Handy: From No. 96 to No. 55 this season

With Moultry shedding No. 55, the number has become available for the sophomore defensive end. A consensus four-star recruit coming out of high school, Handy will try and earn an increased role after playing in seven games last season.

Devan Barrett: From  No. 12 last season to No. 10 this season

Originally coming to Auburn as a running back, Barrett switched to cornerback and appeared in seven games at the position last season. However, Barrett was still listed as a RB on Auburn’s roster last year but now, the change has officially been made which also allows him to share a number with Nix.

Barton Lester: From No. 49 last season to No. 47 this season

Lester is a junior walk-on linebacker from Montgomery who has yet to appear in a game for Auburn.

Jacoby Puckett: From No. 17 last season to No. 40 this season

Redshirt freshman and walk-on safety as well as the brother of fellow Auburn safety Zion Puckett.

Erik Piedy: From No. 22 last season to No. 41 this season.

Piedy is a sophomore walk-on cornerback from New Orleans who has yet to appear in a game for the Tigers.
