When you’re looking at “players to watch,” offensive lineman are not often part of that conversation. That’s doubly true for the center position which rarely gets the attention it deserves.

With that said, Kentucky should enter the 2020 season with one of the best O-line units in the SEC and a big reason for that is the contribution of redshirt senor Drake Jackson.

Jackson is not only one of Kentucky’s best players but he’s arguably the best center in all of college football. Jackson will be entering his fourth season as a starter for the Wildcats and the 6-foot-2, 310-pound veteran was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2019.

Kentucky had the conference’s best rushing attack a year ago and you can’t do that without a strong push up front. Jackson isn’t the only star on the O-line for Kentucky but he’s probably the best of the bunch.

Again, with the loss of players like Brown, Davidson and Coe from last season, an inexperienced Auburn defensive line could struggle to generate a consistent pass rush against a talented UK offensive line.
