Here are the Auburn players who are most likely to impress in the teams’ Week 1 matchup against Kentucky.

For the first time since 2009, the Auburn Tigers will play host to SEC East foe Kentucky as the Wildcats will travel to Jordan-Hare Stadium in Week 1 and try to knock off an Auburn team that will surely be ranked fairly high to start the season.

Historically, Auburn has dominated this series as they have 26 wins compared to Kentucky’s six and have won the last two matchups.

However, the Wildcats came away victorious in ’09 (the last time they played in Auburn) and the program has won an impressive 18 games in the last two seasons. As a result, Auburn can’t afford to sleepwalk through this one.

On the other hand, although they replace a good bit of starters on both sides of the ball, the Tigers still have a ton of talent. Whether it’s an established star or incoming freshman, Auburn will need several players to have strong games if they want to start the season 1-0.

Kentucky has talent but these are three Auburn players I think could be in line for big games come September 26.
