After everything that Auburn football fans have been through with the recent head coaching search, you can expect to see some wild reactions to the mess on Rocky Top–particularly Kevin Steele’s role.
As of today, the University of Tennessee football program has parted ways with Jeremy Pruitt, and former Auburn football defensive coordinator Kevin Steele will serve as interim head coach (via Rocky Top Insider).
This means that in the past month, Kevin Steele has served as the interim head coach for two different SEC football programs, and this fact is not lost on Auburn fans.
Anyone know how long it will take to make a Kevin Steele vaccine....he has taken out two SEC coaches within two months...https://t.co/6jtBC726z0

The way things are playing out in Knoxville is strikingly similar to what was going on in Auburn just weeks ago. Auburn fans took to Twitter to speak out, tweeting #StopSteele and emphasizing that they did NOT want Steele to replace Gus Malzahn as Auburn’s HC.
Whether Steele did or did not contribute to the overthrow of former head coach Malzahn, Auburn Twitter is quick to point out that it seems Steele has struck again:
Just thought of a business idea for Kevin Steele:

He could travel the U.S. as an interim head coach for college football programs. He’ll act as head coach for any length of time while the school searches for a permanent replacement. For an extra fee, he’ll also help stage a coup.
Was Kevin Steele’s move to Tennessee as a defensive assistant coach really just another bid for a HC position?

In reality, there’s no way to get the full details of what happened on Rocky Top, but that’s not going to stop Auburn fans from relishing in the joy of not being the center of coaching-search-criticism.
FWE leaves you with one last tweet and asks you to decide for yourself. War Eagle!
Phillip Fulmer said Kevin Steele didn't know he might be acting head coach but he did know there was an investigation going on when he was hired last week.
