National Signing Day is two weeks away and Auburn football is still looking to fill 13 open spots–one of which could be filled by Jordan Moko.

One of Auburn football’s newest hires did his first bit of recruiting work for the Tigers:

Yesterday, Australian offensive tackle Jordan Moko took to Twitter to announce his offer from Auburn football. The potential recruit spoke fondly of Coach Will Friend, although it’s not yet set in stone where he will end up.

Moko is originally from Brisbane, Australia, and is a former rugby player–a past which has helped his transition to the game of American football.

He found success as an offensive tackle in the JUCO world at Snow College in Utah, and the 6’5″ 300-lb recruit is being noticed by schools across the country.

Auburn is only the latest school to have offered a spot to Jordan Moko after Moko named two other Southeastern Conference schools in his top three: LSU and Texas A&M (along with Oregon).

But Jordan Moko says recruitment is still open, and as of January 18, Auburn’s offer is on the table. Other SEC schools to extend offers to Moko include Florida, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.

As Will Friend looks to fill in some of the gaps on the 2021 offensive line, he will definitely be looking to make Auburn a factor in Moko’s decisions no matter how late in the game.

After failing to have a top 10 recruiting class in 2018 and 2019, the Tigers finished at No. 7 in 2020. Things have been far tougher so far in 2021, though.

Bryan Harsin and his new staff will be looking to get Auburn football back into the top 10, having to #48 currently, and a guarantee from Jordan Moko could help make that happen.

This is all without mentioning the fact that there will be more shakeups in the SEC recruiting world with the recent catastrophe on Rocky Top. It’s too soon to say if the Tigers will officially land Jordan Moko, but Fly War Eagle will say this much to any recruit with the Plains in mind as an option:

It’s great to be an Auburn Tiger!

Next. Odds for Gus, Steele to be Vols HC. dark
