On January 30, 2021 the most elite senior football players will head to Mobile to compete in the Reese’s Senior Bowl, and KJ Britt will be the lone tiger representing Auburn football.
While the Senior Bowl is traditionally a big to-do, COVID-19 is changing up the way operations will be run. Seating capacity at Hancock Whitney Stadium at the University of South Alabama will be reduced and most of the accompanying events will not take place.
Although it will be different in a pandemic, the Senior Bowl will play an important role due to the scouting combine being canceled. This will give NFL scouts a chance to actually see the prospective draftees up close and in action.
As Auburn football announced spring practices will be taking place this year, The Senior Bowl released the profile of Auburn football’s sole representative, LB KJ Britt, yesterday.
As one of the few opportunities available to impress NFL scouts and improve draft stock, KJ Britt will be looking to impress on the field in Mobile.
KJ Britt played four seasons on the Plains, taking Pat Dye field for 29 total games. He racked up 118 career tackles, 113 of which were for a loss.
Practices have already begun for the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, and KJ Britt was praised by Michael Schottey of Network Brawl for his ability to defend the shorter pass routes.
This Saturday, KJ Britt will be representing Auburn football among the top seniors across the country, and we at Fly War Eagle hope that this becomes his big chance to improve his draft stock and wow the scouts.
