Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin was up bright and early with the team Monday morning for workouts at the Auburn Athletics Complex. At 5:30am, Coach Harsin was pulling into the parking lot and by 6:00 he was in the weight room with his players.
According to an article published by AL.com, Coach Harsin is no stranger to getting involved in workouts and practices. The former Broncos coach is a staunch believer in time spent in the weight room. An Idaho Press staffer, B.J. Rains, spent seven years reporting on Harsin and his former team Boise State:
"“You’ll see him in practice throwing passes to the wide receivers during drills,” Rains said. “He’ll jump in there and throw passes, do handoffs to the running backs. He’ll be very involved in the offense. He’ll run over and see a quarterback and pull him aside to do a technique.”"
It’s clear that Coach Harsin takes preparation seriously, which is fantastic news for Auburn fans who have watched a pretty stagnant program for the last couple of years. We at Fly War Eagle are not the only ones hyped to see Coach Harsin putting in work…hard work.
We’re quickly learning that the Auburn football program is not just experiencing a coaching change, but a culture change. Harsin is setting out to revamp a program that has operated in a certain way for the past eight years, and with this kind of effort, we should quickly see the Tigers rising in the rankings and winning football games.
Is it fall yet?
