Auburn football once again benefits from the mayhem on Rocky Top in their recruitment of four-star DE Dylan Brooks, who has officially committed to being a Tiger.
Tennessee has been losing recruit after recruit ever since the firing of Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt and Dylan Brooks’ future hung in the balance for a time while he awaited release from his National Letter of Intent. After a little confusion, it was determined that Brooks was well and truly free to play at whatever school he chooses.
Brooks, a Roanoke, AL native, picked the Vols over the Tigers in the early recruitment process, citing his relationship with the UT coaches as a deciding factor. But with those coaches out of the picture, Brooks no longer wanted to be a Volunteer.
The addition of Brooks to the roster bumps Auburn’s 2021 recruiting class up to No. 20 nationally, and to #8 in the SEC. He was largely recruited by the linebackers coach Bert Watts, according to 247Sports.
Adding a four-star recruit to the Auburn football roster and moving up in the recruitment rankings has Auburn fans pretty excited for Dylan Brooks to get to the Plains:
Brooks becomes the highest-ranked addition to the class of 2021, and the Tigers will still have room to take on a few impact transfer players, too. After all, according to Bryan Harsin, recruiting never ends.
