Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin and his staff are deep in the recruiting trenches for the class of 2022, putting together a group of recruits to build upon the new culture being established on the Plains. Just yesterday the football coaching staff held a Zoom meeting with class of 2022 4-star offensive tackle Ryan Brubaker.

Brubaker, a Pennsylvania native, has received nearly two dozen offers already. He is being recruited hard by South Carolina and Penn State and has made plans to officially visit both schools in June 2021. He’s also shown interest in Tennessee despite the coaching mishaps and plans to visit Rocky Top in June as well.

The Tigers extended a scholarship offer to the Cocalico High School OT back in March, and though his recruiter is listed as Auburn football’s offensive line coach Will Friend on 247Sports he also met with some defensive coaches via Zoom:

Brubaker tagged nine different members of the coaching staff in his Twitter post thanking Auburn football for the zoom meeting, including a grad assistant and offensive analyst. Notably, defensive coordinator Derek Mason, defensive line coach Nick Eason, and inside linebackers coach Jeff Schmedding, indicating that the staff is trying to keep options open for Brubaker in terms of position. It’s possible that the OT could fit in on either side of the line of scrimmage.

Auburn has offered around 30 offensive tackles for the class of 2022, which so far has only three commits in quarterback Holden Geriner, outside linebacker Powell Gordon, and cornerback Jarell Stinson.
