Scoota Henderson is the talk of the town when it comes to 2021-22 recruitment, 2022-23 recruitment, or the G-League, and that’s largely because the talented player has yet to make a decision to further his career, keeping top-notch programs on their toes. Though it’s not certain that Henderson will even play college ball, he’s predicted to play Auburn basketball if he does.

The five-star prospect is ranked the No. 1 player out of the state of Georgia as well as the No. 3 point guard in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite. Henderson is currently a member of the 2022 recruiting class, but that could change very quickly. The point guard has been turning heads all year, increasingly standing out as a strong leader and competitor.

According to Auburn Undercover, Henderson is well on his way to being a top recruit in both the 2021 and 2022 recruiting classes and it’s possible that he could reclassify to enter the collegiate world of play a year early in 2021:

"“I haven’t thought about that yet but I am going to try to talk it over with my family sometime soon if I will do that or not,” stated Henderson."

Henderson’s main goal, of course, is to get to the NBA, so in looking for a college he’s looking for the place that will best develop his skills and get him to that elite level of play. He’s also considering taking the G-Leauge route and skipping college altogether.

247 Sports reports that Henderson has received offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn, though he seems most interested in Bruce Pearl’s Tigers. The junior point guard possesses a talent that puts him at the top of the rankings list:

"When it comes to natural talent, not many possess the gifts that Henderson possesses and when he is locked in and utilizing them, there’s not a better point guard prospect in the junior and senior class.Given his strong frame and elite athleticism, when Henderson is locked in, he is a dominant force at getting downhill and getting to the rim. Last night, Henderson did just that, getting downhill and punishing the rim but also continued to show improvement in his jumper, connecting on a handful of mid-range and long-range jumpers."

Henderson has not yet made any decisions related to his basketball future, but Auburn basketball is hot in pursuit of the 5-star prospect. Whether he chooses to play college ball or go straight to the big leagues, Scoot Henderson is sure to be a name that everyone will know sooner or later.
