6’8″, 342 pounds, four stars, and an aggressive, go get ’em attitude. Those are the things that make up major Auburn football target Jacob Hood. The massive offensive lineman from Nashville, TN likes the Tigers a lot but is being heavily recruited by the Georgia Bulldogs. So far, Auburn and Georgia are the only two schools to which Hood has planned official visits.

The Hillsboro High School prospect is ranked as the #15 recruit out of the state of Tennessee and the #41 offensive tackle in the recruiting class of 2022. Hood originally named a Top 6 schools of Baylor, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Tennessee, and Mississippi State back in February, but his relationship with Will Friend switched things up once he received an offer from Bryan Harsin and the Tigers in March.

Currently, Hood says he is hearing the most from UGA, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Auburn, and though so far he only has official visits to UGA and Auburn he plans to visit Oxford, MS as well. Auburn Rivals reports that Hood has already taken a virtual visit to the Plains and was impressed with what he saw:

"“Auburn is high on my list,” Hood said. “I really enjoyed everything I saw on my virtual visit. I like the dorms. The practice facilities are amazing. The stadium also really stood out to me.”"

Hood plans to narrow down his list of top schools on his birthday, June 10, which will come after his visit to the Plains on June 4. With in-person recruiting visits starting back up again after the Coronavirus, the Auburn football facilities and the campus should speak for themselves as to why Hood could make his next home in Auburn.

Though the competition for Jacob Hood is tight, especially around the SEC, Coach Bryan Harsin and his staff will have the advantage of getting Hood’s first visit and possibly a quick commitment.
