If Auburn football would have waited a day to offer a pair of tight ends, this headline would have read like a Dr. Seuss title.
Alas, a day earlier than what would be an amazing arrangement of alliteration, the Tigers have excited fans with interest in adding size at the position in the future.
Brad Bedell–who fans of Boise State didn’t want to see a return to the Broncos–is making an impact quickly. It was a TE that caught the very first pass of the Bryan Harsin era at A-Day, and now the recruiting cycle is seeing a shift to the position post-spring game.
The two tight ends were from Ohio, with Cincinatti’s Brody Foley and Chagrin Falls’ Ryan Miller:
The Tigers’ tight end spot is certainly not short on depth heading into the first season on the Plains for Harsin and co. as they look ahead to 2022.
As 247Sports’ Jason Caldwell notes, there are risers all over the room:
"With experienced senior John Samuel Shenker returning as one of the leaders for the Tigers at the tight end position and having Luke Deal, Jeremiah Pegues, Brandon Frazier and newcomer Landen King to work with, new position coach Brad Bedell has also had another player in the room step up and take his game to another level this spring. The younger brother of former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm, Auburn redshirt freshman Tyler Fromm has impressed the staff with his work ethic this spring and he’s quickly making his own mark…"
Next year, there could be high-risers scaling for Bo Nix (or Dematrius Davis) end zone fades in the form of a pair of six-foot-six Buckeye State ballers for Auburn football.
