There’s the lead recruiter for Auburn football’s class of 2022 Holden Geriner out pitching another top name to sign on the dotted line to join him on the Plains.

The quarterback recruit out of Savannah, Georgia (side note, any and all Auburn men and women need to make their way to Savannah Smiles Dueling Pianos for preferred War Eagle treatment) has been vocal on Twitter to other recruits thinking about choosing AU.

Yesterday, Geriner responded “I like AU” after six-foot-two safety Emory Floyd tweeted out his top 8 schools…and Auburn was one of them.

Per his Twitter page:

Floyd’s top 8 also included three SEC East foes in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, as well as Florida State and UNC of the ACC, Maryland of the Big Ten, and Notre Dame of the FBS Independents.

The multi-positional defensive stalwart lives under a two-hour drive from Auburn and was present at Jordan-Hare Stadium during the A-Day spring football game. While some experts think staying in his home state with the Bulldogs is possible, an overwhelming 77% of 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions have him becoming a Tiger.

This isn’t the first time Geriner has played recruiter for Auburn football after the 4-star recruit committed. Shemar James was recruited by Geriner too via social media, and even though–like Floyd–James plays on the opposite side of the ball as the Georgia boy wonder under center, it’s clear that Geriner wants the best team possible to make waves on the Plains.

The pro-style quarterback that is joining a much more QB-friendly system now with Bryan Harsin and Mike Bobo in tow. As an owner of a 4.0 GPA, Geriner is smart enough to know that it takes both a great offense and defense to win the SEC and make the CFB Playoff.
