WATCH: Auburn football HC Bryan Harsin throws 1st pitch at Plainsman Park
With plenty at stake for the Auburn baseball team heading into the second game of the final 2021 series at Plainsman Park this season, newly minted Auburn football head coach Bryan Harsin was in attendance.
And we got to see the arm that put him on the college football map at his beloved alma mater, Boise State.
Harsin was looking for a change of scenery in moving to the SEC, and winning titles was on his agenda in signing on the dotted line with one of college football’s pillar programs.
As an Auburn man, he has been spotted around town rolling the trees after women’s golf one the SEC championship, showing his involvement with the athletics beyond just Auburn football.
He took that a step further when he arrived at Plainsman Park and threw out the ceremonial 1st pitch of Auburn baseball’s matinee against Texas A&M:
Kudos to the incredible camera work following the four-year Broncos coach out to the mound for his toss. Though the mechanics are different with throwing a baseball and throwing a football, Harsin still looks like he can sling heat dropping back based on the 1st pitch.
Auburn baseball put on quite a performance in front of the Idaho export, but their efforts fell short in the final two innings, as Texas A&M went up 10-8 in the 8th and finished on top 11-9. With the Aggies now in sole possession of 12th place in the SEC, the loss now makes tomorrow’s series finale must-win for the program if it has any hopes of going to Hoover for the SEC tournament with the top 12 seeds qualifying.
Here’s to a series win tomorrow and a successful first season for Harsin in the fall.
