When the official Auburn baseball Twitter account is taking note of it, there might be a very notable snub that has occurred in the SEC’s selections for their all-conference teams.

During the annual honoring of the SEC baseball season’s best in conference play, the voters egregiously decided that Ryan Bliss was not a first-team talent after a meteoric second-half effort to lead the Tigers to Hoover.

Bliss became the team’s top hitter as the season went on, landing in the top five in just about every major statistical category behind the plate.

Per 247Sports’ Mark Murphy:

"Bliss is the only player in the SEC to rank in the top five in batting average (.366), slugging percentage(.664), runs scored (31), base hits (48), doubles (nine), home runs (10), RBI (30) and total bases (87) for league games. He also ranked in the top five by SEC players in average (.362), slugging percentage (.643), hits (75) and total bases (133) for all games played."

Auburn baseball’s official Twitter account took the classy route in displaying their frustrations with Bliss not being named to the All-SEC first team:

Bliss is First Team All-Everything in our book too. Without him, the Tigers would have followed their 2019 College World Series appearance with yet another heartbreak for Tiger fans who have grown accustomed to Auburn athletics’ struggles in the not-so-roaring twenties.

Instead, there is hope as Auburn baseball takes on Ole Miss tonight following LSU-Georgia to begin what could be an unlikely run leading to a return to Omaha.

Even still, Tiger fans are ticked at Tennessee’s Liam Spence being honored as the SEC’s best short stop instead of Bliss:

Regardless of the snub, Fly War Eagle congratulates Ryan for his award-winning season.

War Eagle!
