Auburn Football: Rejoice! Jordan-Hare Stadium will be at full capacity in 2021
The edict that all Auburn football fans were waiting for has finally arrived:
Saturdays are back in full swing.
Auburn athletic director Allen Greene announced that Jordan Hare Stadium will operate at full capacity for the 2021 Auburn football season.
According to 247Sports, Allen Greene said this about the announcement:
"“There is nothing like a fall weekend in the Loveliest Village on the Plains. From the pre-game pageantry and eagle flight, to the postgame celebration at Toomer’s Corner and all of the shared experiences with friends and family. We are so excited to welcome back the Auburn Family to Jordan-Hare Stadium this fall and reintroduce our fans to the best game day experience in the nation.”"
This is a huge development for Auburn football as they open their season on September 4th at 7pm/ET against Akron in Jordan Hare Stadium. It also means that Auburn’s two biggest rivals (Alabama & Georgia) will have to deal with all 87,451 fans when they visit the Plains this season.
Auburn will host Akron, Alabama State, Georgia State, Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, & Alabama this year.

Auburn football has heavily relied on their home-field advantage over the past several seasons and the limited capacity in the 2020 season really seemed to hurt the Tigers throughout the year. The Tigers held one of the longest streaks for wins at Jordan-Hare with 13 throughout the 2016-2018 season until LSU knocked the Tigers off in the 3rd game of the year. Many fans credit the environment for helping the 2017 Auburn Tigers knock off back-to-back #1 ranked Georgia and Alabama teams in Jordan-Hare.
Auburn football enters a new era under Bryan Harsin and the Auburn faithful will be cheering on the Tigers this season as they start their quest for the SEC championship and ultimately the College Football National Championship.
