2nd toughest QB Auburn football will face in 2021: Matt Corral, Ole Miss

Matt Corral is right up there with Sam Howell for the frontrunner to hear his name called first in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Ole Miss QB erupted last season in a historic outburst that shattered previous offensive records for the program, and his success has some going as far (way too far imo) as saying that the Rebels could actually surpass AU in the standings.

Whether or not that is a reality depends on the results of the Halloween eve showdown between Ole Miss and Auburn football on October 30th at JHS. Either way, Corral makes that a legitimate conversation after the Tigers snuck out of Vaught–Hemingway Stadium with a one-score victory last October.

The toughest QB Auburn football will face in 2021: JT Daniels, Georgia

For whatever reason, the Bulldogs have owned the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry game in recent history (winning seven of the last eight meetings), and 2021 could be no different considering the preseason hype Georgia has as a legitimate championship threat this upcoming season.

Given JT Daniel’s heroic return from an ACL tear in which he threw for 299+ yards in three of his four games–including a 392-yard performance in the Peach Bowl against Cincinatti–the hype seems justified.

If the rivalry is going to stick to the status quo for yet another season, expect Daniels’ big arm to be the reason why.
