Will Friend and Mike Bobo knew that rebuilding the Auburn football offensive line would be no easy task, but Friend and Bobo have made huge progress building necessary relationships on the recruiting trail. One of the top Auburn football targets for the class of 2022 announced his five finalists and Auburn is squarely in the race.

Eston Harris Jr. is a 3-star offensive tackle out of Opelika, AL and ranks as the #421 overall player and #40 OT in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Harris recently transferred from Beauregard High School to Auburn High School this summer and will be playing in the Tigers’ backyard throughout his senior season. Harris was a 1st Team Class 5A All-State selection for Beauregard this past season and is gaining much attention on the recruiting trail. Harris announced his final five on Twitter with one of the best recruiting videos we may have ever seen.

Harris included Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, and Auburn in his final five teams, which should make for one of the most interesting and competitive recruitments in the country. Harris took an official visit to Oregon on June 18th and unofficially visited Auburn and Florida State this past month, while Harris found his way to Tuscaloosa when attending a Crimson Tide camp.

Auburn High School head coach Keith Etheredge talked to Ben Thomas from AL.com and had this to say about Harris:

"“He hasn’t even scratched the surface of how good he can be. EJ is a big, strong kid. He’s very physical. He has a very high ceiling. He is still learning. He will get better and better.”“He’s a phenomenal athlete who moves well. Not only that, but he’s a good kid and a high academic kid. We are really excited about him and excited to see him grow.”"

Even though Auburn football has not landed a commitment in recent months, the Tigers are one of the hottest teams on the recruiting trail and the commitments are due to come soon. Auburn has placed itself perfectly in the recruitment of Harris and will have plenty of chances to make an impact due to his transfer to Auburn High School. Look out for the Tigers in this recruitment as we come down the stretch of the 2022 recruiting cycle.
