Potential Auburn football commit #2: Kaleb Artis

The #2 recruit out of the state of New York and the #63 defensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2022, Kaleb Artis will be announcing his decision the same day as Tyreese Fearbry–July 4. He has taken official visits to Penn State, Virginia, and Auburn, but Rutgers is also in the mix.

According to 247Sports, Artis had a great visit to the Plains and enjoyed meeting Coach Eason, whose NFL experience is a big draw for the lineman:

"“It’s important because I want someone that’s been around the game, has knowledge and can get me to the next level. I want to be one of the greatest.”"

Though it’s looking more and more like Artis will choose Penn State over the Tigers, playing in the SEC could be a factor in his decision. Either way, it seems likely that the Auburn football program will be seeing Kaleb Artis on September 18.

Potential Auburn football commit #3: Micah Riley-Ducker

Of the recruits on this list, Riley-Ducker is one of the more promising candidates. It seems that before the 2021 season comes rolling around, Harsin wants to have the roster stacked with tight ends, a position that Auburn didn’t always fully utilize under the former regime.

The 3-star tight end will announce his decision on July 7, and it’s down to Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois, and Auburn. The #3 recruit out of the state of Nebraska and the #15 tight end in the recruiting class of 2022, Riley-Ducker walked away from the Plains extremely impressed with his official visit:

"“The official visit was so much better than my first visit. I loved it. It was amazing. It was a great experience; I didn’t expect it to be that great, but I loved it. I really liked talking to the players and get a better overall feel of the environment at Auburn.”"

Though Riley-Ducker grew up as a Hawkeyes fan, Bryan Harsin and Mike Bobo are doing their best to convert him to a Tiger, and their efforts may pay off next week.
