What will the next Auburn football NIL endorsement be?

Well, it certainly looks like it will involve the Tigers offensive line…and a boatload of beef if the top blocker on the line is to be believed.

Nick Brahms, one of the SEC Players of the Week from the 2020 season, seemingly dropped a hint on his verified Twitter account that the Auburn football offensive line would soon be sponsored by one of the great BBQ spots in Auburn.

Per Brahms’ Twitter:

His tweet was prompted by someone bringing up the Arkansas OL’s NIL sponsorship, which covers the entire front five:

How fitting for the Hogs to be sponsored by a BBQ joint.

The Arkansas OL is the first group to all have a blanket sponsor, and it could start a new trend. Evidently, Brahms and the Auburn football OL is next, and more blocking units could eventually land similar deals. It’s unclear if any other position groups, like a team’s WR room or secondary will receiver a group endorsement such as this.

What is clear is that one of the great BBQ places on the Plains will soon be adding to the many sponsors Auburn has already landed. From men’s underwear, to video gaming, to sweet tea, to podcasts, the endorsements have been flowing for the historical SEC powerhouse.

Some are speculating that Jim ‘N Nicks could be the choice, while others believe Moe’s BBQ will sponsor Brahms and co. Byron’s on Opelika Road is an outside option too, though nowhere near as likely as the other options.

Fly War Eagle will wait and see, but the minute the OL is sponsored, brisket, cornbread and a rack of ribs will be ordered by the establishment backing our Tigers.
