Auburn football’s recruiting class of 2022 could officially be adding another member to the roster tonight. At 6:30 pm central time, tight end Micah Riley-Ducker will make his official commitment tonight, deciding between four schools, including Auburn.

Riley-Ducker is ranked as the #3 recruit out of the state of Nebraska and the #15 tight end in the class of 2022. The 3-star has taken official visits to all four of his finalist schools–Auburn, Iowa, Iowa State, and Illinois–and now knows where he wants to attend college.

Iowa had a strong start in Riley-Ducker’s commitment due to its proximity to his home, according to SB Nation, but after the official visits, Auburn football and Illinois shot to the top of the TE’s list.

Now, SEC insider JBoy predicts the tight end to wind up on the Plains with 80 percent confidence. The arrival of such an impressive tight end could be a turning point for the Auburn offense in terms of utilizing the position. Harsin has been recruiting many tight ends during the offseason, and the Iowa interest in Riley-Ducker indicates he is a powerhouse TE.

Riley-Ducker told AM 590 ESPN Omaha that it was mostly about the fit of the program and the environment on campus when it comes to deciding on a school. Another priority? Winning. Riley-Ducker said his end goal was to get to the NFL, and he wants a program that will get him there.

Although Riley-Ducker described Iowa as “tight end U” he also noted that he believes that the goals for the tight ends in the Auburn football program are pretty good, per Cyclone Alert.

The No. 1 placekicker in the nation, Alex McPherson started building momentum for the Tigers’ recruiting class of 2022, and hopefully, it will continue tonight with the commitment of Micah Riley-Ducker.
