Auburn football projected receiving touchdown leader: Elijah Canion, WR
While the tight end is a position that is likely to receive a bump in attention from Bo Nix under new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo’s offense, the competition for touches from all of the incumbent options (John Samuel Shenker, Tyler Fromm, Luke Deal) and freshman Landen King could prevent any single one of them from breaking out.
Demetris Robertson, the splashy former 5-star recruit that transferred from Georgia, is more likely to serve as a decoy to make his teammates better. His veteran presence will undoubtedly open things up for the other WRs on the depth chart.
We foresee Elijah Canion grabbing the brass ring and rising to the top of the TD totem pole in the Tigers WR room.
Auburn football projected defensive/special teams touchdown leader: Smoke Monday, S
When it comes to touchdowns from the defense and special teams, it is most likely to be a crapshoot on who will likely come away with the most. Last season, two touchdowns were produced from the defense in the form of a Smoke Monday pick-six against Tennessee and a Christian Tutt fumble recovery against LSU.
Monday was able to take a Mac Jones INT two seasons ago to the house at Jordan-Hare Stadium as well, so he’s a safe pick to once again produce the most touchdowns, barring a breakout end zone finder blossoming in the return game.
