Auburn football: Tigers make Top-8 for 4-star OT out of Georgia
Positive news may be on the horizon for the Tigers on the recruiting trail after a tough start for the 2022 recruiting cycle. Auburn football has begun to make some waves on the 2023 recruiting trail and one of the biggest targets for the Tigers may have just emerged.
Johnathan “Bo” Hughley is a 4-star offensive tackle out of Fairburn, GA and ranks as the #67 overall player and the #6 offensive tackle in the class of 2023. He has the eye of most major programs in the country due to his size, in which he stands at 6-foot-7 and over 270 pounds.
The OT dropped his Top-8 teams this afternoon on Twitter and the Tigers are in the running for one of the best offensive linemen in next year’s class.

Chad Simmons from On3Sports caught up with Hughley and he had this to say about his Top-8 schools thus far:
"“These are my top schools right now. I have built great relationships with coaches and I think schools could put me in the league.”"
Auburn football does have a history of sending their top offensive linemen to the next level. Auburn has had 10 offensive linemen drafted since 2006, which includes the #2 overall pick in 2014 in Greg Robinson.
Hughley is going to be a top priority for Will Friend and Bryan Harsin, but they will have to fight off some of the top programs from around the country. Georgia is going to be a serious contender and has recruited extremely well across the offensive line and has been the stiffest competition for the Tigers on the recruiting trail at times.
Overall, this race is far from over and expect to see Hughley on the Plains this season to catch a few games and possibly give the Tigers one of the elusive official visits before his final decision. Landing a high caliber offensive line prospect, such as Hughley, would be a huge win for Harsin and could be the first step in showing Auburn fans that recruiting will be a strong suit throughout his tenure on the Plains.
