Strange things are happening in the world of college football. And Auburn football has been in the middle of it.

As one of the Avengers that is tasked with trying to take down CFB Thanos (Alabama), the Tigers are part of an SEC fraternity that has produced the most champions since the inception of the College Football Playoff, and beyond that, since the turn of the century as well.

The sport has always ridden the ebbs and flows of the SEC, but it is planning to do so more than ever with reports that a deal to bring both Oklahoma and Texas to the conference is set to be agreed to imminently.

Those reports were complemented with wild rumors that the coup may also include a power play for the ACC’s Florida State and Clemson, as well as the Big Ten’s Ohio State and Michigan.

But Michigan and Ohio State? In what world would they make sense for the conference? It’s a different world in the Midwest, and there are not established rivalries between those schools and the SEC beyond Ohio State’s few postseason showdowns with Alabama in the CFP.

Well, if these rumors have any merit, then clearly there is interest in expanding. But in the interest of not stripping the Big Ten of their two most storied lineages, Fly War Eagle feels these 2 Big Ten programs make more sense than Ohio State and Michigan:
