Auburn football: Damari Alston recruiting Tiger offensive line targets
One of Auburn football’s biggest roster needs is offensive linemen, and the Tigers definitely aren’t where they need to be yet with the recruiting class of 2022. The good news? Two of first-year head coach Bryan Harsin’s biggest gets in the 2022 cycle are doing their own bit of recruiting to push prospects towards the Plains.
Holden Geriner, 4-star QB commit out of Savannah, GA, has been Auburn football’s number one student-athlete recruiter on social media since he signed on to the program back in February. As soon as Damari Alston committed on July 25, he joined Geriner in trying to get the best of the best to the Plains.
The pair have been involved in recruiting Caden Story, Darrius Clemons, and Emory Floyd among other Auburn targets. Harsin and his first-year staff definitely need the help from their commits considering the Tigers’ class of 2022 currently sits in the last place in the SEC.
Most recently, 4-star Damari Alston turned his attention to offensive linemen prospects, calling for the ’22 recruits to commit to the Tigers:
Jacob Hood, Eston Harris Jr., and Drew Bobo are all 3-star offensive tackles that Auburn football is pushing for. Hood, a native of Nashville, TN, named top-five schools of Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Miami, Georgia, and Auburn, but the last two seem to be pushing the hardest.
Both Eston Harris Jr. and Drew Bobo will be attending local Auburn High School in the fall, and will hopefully be committing to Auburn University for the following year. Originally from Opelika, EJ’s top five schools include Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, and Oregon.
Drew Bobo, son of Auburn football’s offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, hasn’t officially named any top schools but took OVs to Georgia Tech, Virginia, and Kentucky in addition to unofficial visits to Auburn and Georgia, who seem to be his top schools.
Though there is no timeline on the decisions from these three guys, hopefully, they’ll become Auburn Tigers soon than later.
