Former Auburn football star Kerryon Johnson is still tuned in to the current events of not just his former team, but everything involving the Auburn family.

It’s no wonder he chimed in on perhaps the biggest college-aged superstar athlete in the United States, who just so happens to be making her way to the Plains.

Sunisa Lee, 2020 Olympics gold medalist of the all-around gymnastics routine, graced the Plains for the first time as an Auburn Tiger today, and Johnson had high praise for the American hero upon arrival.

Per Johnson’s Twitter:

Johnson’s comments were referencing the South Donahue Residence Hall for student-athletes. According to the Auburn football-turned-NFL RB, Lee is worthy of having an entire floor to herself.

Given the earning potential Lee has with the NIL rules dictating potential sponsorships for all collegiate athletes, perhaps Lee will soon have enough money to buy her own building at Two 21 Armstrong.

If Bryce Young is worth over $1 million, Sunisa Lee is worth roughly 5x that. Young’s earnings come from potential. Lee is already a proven commodity.

Johnson has done nicely for himself since making the jump from Auburn football to the pros. He has earned over $3 million so far in his career, though he did restructure his deal with his current team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

He’ll be looking to earn his next deal while sharing a backfield with former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts in the City of Brotherly Love.

As for Lee, she’ll be showing her stuff at the Auburn Arena this winter for Auburn Gymnastics. Her brilliance at the Olympics was not the only display of dominance by a Tiger.

Per Morgan Carlson of WSFA:

"Lee is one of four Auburn Olympians to earn three or more medals in the same Olympic Games, joining Kirsty Coventry, Margaret Hoelzer and Rowdy Gaines,"

It’s good to have Sunisa Lee on the Plains, and it’s great to see former Tigers celebrate the gravity of having such an athlete join the Auburn family.
