Auburn football #3 offseason meme: Bo Nix is a dark horse for the Heisman

The absolute best case scenario for any Tiger fan in 2021 would be seeing the infamous A-Day Bo Nix meme actually manifest itself over the course of the upcoming campaign.

For those not in the know, the following phrase was the only thing you were able to see during Auburn football’s A-Day Spring game this past April:

"This is the year. Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman."

I remember vividly checking Twitter while seated in the Jordan-Hare Stadium bleachers wondering if my phone was malfunctioning with all of the strange reply tweets to Fly War Eagle’s live coverage.

My phone was fine (it should be until the next iPhone model comes out) and instead a legendary offseason meme was being birthed on that fateful Saturday afternoon in mid-April.

Any brilliant performance by Nix this season–whether it be against Akron, Alabama State, or especially against the likes of LSU, Georgia, and Alabama–will probably prompt the rebirth of this meme on Twitter.

This is the year folks…
