Look, if Fly War Eagle went ahead and published a piece about Auburn football fans being unhappy about Seth Williams being released from his first NFL team just five months after being drafted in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, your response would be: “well…duh”.

Tiger fans are upset, sure, but that’s not the story here.

The true story is that Broncos fans themselves are the ones who see Williams being cut by Denver as a mistake.

Williams could well end up on the practice squad, but as of this moment, he is no longer affiliated with John Elway’s franchise.

Check out the response from Broncos country:

Williams ended his career with Auburn football having collected 2,124 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns, good for the #4 mark in yards and #3 mark in scores for a WR in Tigers history.

The Cottondale, Alabama product was among two WRs to get selected in the 2021 NFL Draft and four AU alumni overall.

It’s been an offseason of bad luck for some of the departed members of the 2020 Auburn football program, with Eli Stove having his career put on hold due to injuries after signing as an UDFA and Christian Tutt not finding a home at all.

Williams could turn that around by being picked up oncemore, but Denver Broncos fans are justifiably upset knowing they might not be the team he eventually makes a name on.
