Auburn football fans are watching Monday night’s Week One finale intently, with all eyes on SEC West rival Ole Miss taking on Louisville.

The Tigers are projected to finish right alongside the Rebels in the SEC standings by year’s end, with some publications favoring AU and some favoring Ole Miss.

Matt Corral has inspired that confidence in those projecting a jump in the standings from a Rebels squad that couldn’t stop anyone in 2020. So far, they have shown plenty of improvement on defense, shutting out the Cardinals in the first half.

Tiger fans watching this game have had the misfortune of seeing a simply ludicrous number of targeting calls leading to ejections. Currently, the number is four players disqualified from the opening kickoff for both teams.

The referees heard it from the Auburn family:

Currently, Ole Miss holds the lead 26-0 heading into halftime. For the betting crowd, the under is looking good, and Louisville is looking lifeless.

Corral has looked solid slinging the ball, moving the ball down the field efficiently. He found the end zone on a play-action designed QB run.

The Cardinals don’t look capable of overcoming this deficit, as the Rebels defense has ceded just 26 yards through the air.

Auburn football fans, Ole Miss fans, Louisville fans, college football fans…Fly War Eagle apologizes for what we are all seeing right now.
