Auburn football came away from State College, Pennsylvania with a tough road loss under their belts, but there’s still one more week before the Tigers engage in SEC play. This Saturday, the Tigers will face off against Georgia State at home, but the following week sees Auburn traveling to Death Valley for a night game in Baton Rouge.
The kickoff for Auburn football’s first conference game will be at 8:00 p.m. central time. Night games are arguably the most intense, exciting games, and Auburn has a history of struggling in Death Valley already. The last time Auburn beat LSU in Tiger Stadium? 1999.
The night-time scheduling of the game only adds to the difficulty of Auburn’s 2021 schedule in which they have no break from SEC opponents after next week. Death Valley at night will create another hostile atmosphere for the Tigers’ to play in after experiencing the whiteout at Penn State this past weekend, and fans could only shake their heads:
Whiteout and night at Death Valley 2 outta 3 weeks. Who did we hurt? What did we do to deserve that?

Death Valley worse than Whiteout.

Of course, there were also jokes to be made about the upcoming Tiger Bowl:

After week three, the LSU Tigers are 2-1 after losing to UCLA in the season opener but taking care of business with McNeese and Central Michigan. Before they take on Auburn football, LSU will go up against Mississippi State at Starkville.
