Although we Auburn football fans thought that this was the year for Bo Nix, it seems that his time in the limelight may have come to an early end. Most people were encouraged by the third-year starter’s performance in Penn State’s Happy Valley, but today Nix played a completely different game.
In the first half of the Georgia State matchup, Nix completed 13 of 27 passes for 156 yards and had two rushing attempts for zero yards. He scored zero touchdowns and was sacked once before TJ Finley entered the game after halftime.
After the game, Bryan Harsin explained that he tried everything before finally benching Nix and putting Finley in to play:
Bryan Harsin on taking Bo Nix out, playing TJ Finley:"We had played every running back. We had played every receiver. You aren't going to change the offensive line.

"That was my decision. I made the decision to make a change and see if it could create some momentum, and it did."
Boy did the momentum change. Auburn football began the second half down by 12, and Finley led the Tigers to a last-minute victory. Finley passed 9-16 for 97 yards and one touchdown in addition to 15 rushing yards on three attempts.
Finley’s performance has granted him the good favor of Tiger fans, and they are ready to see a new quarterback take over for Auburn football:
AINT KNOW QB CONTROVERSY. TJ FINLEY IS MY QB.

Let’s see some TJ Finley, I’m tired of seeing Bo perform like this and taking up for him. He might still be our best option but show him some hard love and sit him

TJ Finley is the MVP after taking over for Bo Nix and a game-winning 98-yard drive.

Literally couldn't have scripted this better.
Bye bye Bo. It was fun. pic.twitter.com/UVd9WsL2Tr
There is not a QB controversy. TJ Finley is our starting quarterback.

It’s too soon to say whether or not Bryan Harsin will make an official depth chart change, but TJ Finley definitely has the Auburn football fans in his corner.
