Auburn football true freshman running back Jarquez Hunter is making a name for himself in the orange and blue. He has played in all four games this season and has racked up 324 rushing yards for two touchdowns in addition to three receptions for another 24 yards.
Hunter is the first true freshman to post a 100+ plus debut since Onterio McCalebb back in 2009, and he has fully taken on the role of support to Tank Bigsby. Jarquez Hunter, a longtime Auburn fan himself, came to the Plains intending to make a quick impact, and he’s accomplished that in more ways than one.
One of the top true freshmen in all of college football is making a splash on and off the field. Prior to the week four matchup, Hunter appeared in the traditional Tiger Walk sporting a huge white cowboy hat, and fans were excited, to say the least:

Jarquez Hunter is on his way to the top, and it’s only his first year here. In this afternoon’s matchup, he posted 62 rushing yards on 10 attempts in addition to two receptions for an additional six yards. He’s averaging 12.3 yards per carry.
While some components of Auburn football’s offense are still worrying, everyone can rest easy with complete confidence in the running backs.
