#4 moment of the Bryan Harsin era of Auburn football: Tank Bigsby solidifies his spot on the SEC RB totem pole against Penn State

Tank Bigsby was admittedly contained by a Georgia State defense that–as I had been harping on leading into the matchup–had been bulldozed by both Army and UNC this season. He finished with just 62 yards on 10 carries.

The Panthers defense wanted none of my narrative. Good for them.

Week 3 against Penn State was a different story, though. Bigsby found the end zone twice and passed the 100-yard mark for the third straight week.

The Nittany Lions defense have given up just six touchdowns all season. Tank lived up to his name that fateful night in Happy Valley.

#3 moment of the Bryan Harsin era of Auburn football: Tigers are perfect on 9/11

The events of the 9/11/2001 attacks on our nation fundamentally changed our way of live in America. Needless to the say, the eagle flight/flyover pregame ceremonies hit different three Saturdays ago.

2021’s two-decade anniversary was an emotional one given recent events to our troops, with 13 seats in Jordan-Hare Stadium commemorating the 13 fallen American heroes overseas in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The on-field product couldn’t have been better (well, Bo Nix could have been better) as the defense pitched a shutout, the special teams contributed a blocked-FG TD return, Demetris Robertson had a breakout game, and the Tank Bigsby/Jarquez Hunter duo put SEC defenses on notice the way they effortlessly ran through another Division I defense for over 100 yards each for the second straight week.
