Former Auburn football stars from before the Bo Nix era came out in full support of the Tigers and #10 after an incredible comeback victory against LSU Saturday night at Tiger Stadium.
Down 13-0 in the first quarter, Bryan Harsin pulled out all the stops to end the losing streak at Tiger Stadium, including yanking Nix for former LSU QB TJ Finley.
That didn’t last long, but the shock and awe from Nix evading the tackle of four different defenders to find Tyler Fromm in the end zone for a 24-yard TD while falling forward will probably last all week.
The win was seismic for Harsin, who now becomes just the fifth head coach in the history of Auburn football to win a game in Baton Rouge.
Obviously, the Auburn family wasn’t going to not be heard in the wake of this win:

And the respect for Nix was as loud as the disrespect was:

Hats off to #10! Played a hell of a game and found a spark in a seemingly dead match to will his team to victory. Offensive line showed some spurts of dominance but was inconsistent. RBs got it done by committee! WRs HAVE to get better! Still no clear No.1 guy!
I’ll admit that we at FWE lost faith in Nix, but a win like this earns goodwill for the rest of the year, assuming they don’t lose again to South Carolina. The third-year Auburn football starter at QB showed the ability to cook defenders scrambling out of the pocket in a way he hadn’t previously.
Nix is a legitimate dual-threat. The running game was something he made serious strides with in 2020, but last night against LSU, he never looked better.
Or capable of what he did.
It was a night to remember in Baton Rouge. I’d wager that no Tiger fan in attendance will ever forget the night Nix ended the Death Valley drought.
