Auburn football pulls off the Week 9 upset over Ole Miss

It’s very likely that Ole Miss will be coming into Jordan-Hare Stadium on October 30th with a top 10 ranking in the AP Top 25 after knocking off Tennessee on Rocky Top (Mizzou and South Carolina wins don’t make the Vols a legitimate threat) and LSU at home.

That doesn’t guarantee a victory for the Rebels by any stretch. In fact, this game could end up looking like a trap game against a 4-3 Auburn team coming off of their bye week.

With the home crowd on the Plains having not had football for three weeks by the time Ole Miss comes around, this game could be one that has bettors losing plenty of money expecting an easy victory for Matt Corral and co.

Texas A&M sends the Tigers back home on a long flight after a loss

TAMU was beginning to look like the surprise bottom-feeder of the SEC West after losing to Arkansas and Mississippi State in the Lone Star State. The Bulldogs loss at home was particularly egregious considering the things said at the Midnight Yell that week.

But after beating #1 Alabama this past Saturday, the narrative has changed for the Aggies. With Mizzou and South Carolina on the schedule, Texas A&M should be able to ride the Crimson Tide upset to a strong run to end the season, where Ole Miss and Auburn are their only threatening opponents.

Call Fly War Eagle pessimistic, but TAMU already let their guard down against Mississippi State this season so we don’t see another let-down at Kyle Field against an unranked opponent.
